When the brisk cold air starts giving you the shivers… Turtleneck and booties is the perfect solution. So many ’90s clothing staples came convalesce lately like (crop tops, high-waisted jeans, even bucket hats). I was just waiting for turtlenecks to make it through. And although I wasn’t disappointed, I was a little skeptical. A little unsure and scared. Because we know for a fact that, we Filipinos are not a fan of wearing this kind of clothing. However, this past few weeks. The weather is definitely not on our side.
Turtlenecks can be a hit-or-miss. I must tell you, ladies. When they’re bad, they’re SOOO bad (Hahaha). When they’re good, they’re pretty awesome (*Wink*). Trust me on this one!
Cold but fresh and enlivening. Pairing my Oversized- Turtleneck Slit Dress with a denim high-waited shorts and Faux Suede Ankle boots for a super casual and comfy look. How cute are these???
Legs out (Flaunt it, girl)! I gave the cold-weather piece a liberal attitude for the season. You can also layer it above everything, like from styling it to a cut-out dress to one-pieces.
When styled right, this cold-weather classic can actually transform your ensemble and —dare I say it?— can also make you look incredibly cool.
Style Tip: Pair this one with skinny jeans, slim-fit trousers, or leather leggings. Any fitted bottom balances out the bigger proportions on top.
According to Halston (2016), "turtlenecks are the most comfortable garment you can wear." They move with the body, and they're flattering too, because they accentuate the face and elongate the figure. They make life so easy: you can wear a turtleneck to work and then afterwards throw on a jacket, and it becomes very dressy. You can go anywhere you like.
Finishing my look with a White Gucci Shoulder-Bag.
