Looking Back at 2016

Looking back at 2016 be like.... Have you ever look back, at your old photos and thought that it's about time that you need to take some risks in your fashion approach? Do you think It's time to level up your fashion game? Well, as for me... I think it's time. It's 2017 already, ladies! Don’t feel intimidated at the thought of stepping up your style. Remember confidence is the key. So with this, I wanted to experiment if I could pull off this backless look. You must take note, that the main way to rock the backless look is to stop caring about what others might think. It's hard, I know, but it'll definitely make wearing whatever the heck you want much easier.

It’s crazy, but true. The way you present yourself drastically affects how people perceive you and the things you have to say. Whether you like it or not, you’re judged by your appearance. Your face and your clothing are the first things people see. You may be dedicated to your health, eating clean and regularly setting that squat. But at the end of the day, the clothes you wear, your superhero attire, will be what people see first. You may be thinking, “I don’t care what people think,” and that’s fine. Just keep in mind that first impressions are powerful. The way you present yourself says a lot about you, as well as how YOU feel about those who come in contact with you. Until you reach this level of self love enlightenment, consider some of these tips and tricks for wearing beautiful backless dresses, regardless of your cup size. Not to worry, though. I've got your back (literally).

Great style isn't just about the current fashion trends. It's about reuniting fashion with your body figure, coloring, personality and lifestyle! You're in the right place because I will give you fashion advice and tips on how to take your style and image to the next level! If you are looking at backless fashion, then I highly recommend to start from tops. The most important rule of all open-backs is not going all-out-bare-it-all.

STYLE TIPS 101:

While it's a great way to make a fashion statement, there are many things that could easily go wrong; so making any fashion faux pas needs to be avoided. Let's take a look at some tips you can follow to wear a backless tops flawlessly and effortlessly.

But first you should understand how backless clothes should fit.

Fit is of utmost importance when it comes to your backless clothing. If you’ve never given it a second thought beyond how comfortable or uncomfortable a certain article of clothing is, there’s a good chance your clothes are either WAY too big or WAY too tight on your body. The dress you buy need o be exactly your size, a size up or down will ruin the fit and the desired look. The dress needs to be your body type flattering and should give your back the perfect arch. The dresses will come with straps that you can adjust according to your liking and the way it fits best.

If you want to show your beautiful back, then you must prepare yourself (like literally). Your back must be free from any unwanted blemishes.

Just like the face, the body needs exfoliation too. I love using this Exfoliating Body Cloth with a sulfate-free cleansing gel like AHA/BHA Cleansing Gel to gently remove surface dried skin cells to discourage clogged pores and breakouts, as well as keep the skin smooth. I don’t suggest using body scrubs on the back, as they may contain oils that could contribute to breakouts, especially if you’re already acne prone. A few weeks before you plan on wearing your dress, use a loofah and a standard shower gel to gently scrub away dead skin every few days. Do not do this every day, however, since too much scrubbing may cause damage to sensitive skin.

Let Them Free (you know what I'm talking about).

Of course, this option is not plausible for all but for you small chested women out there, and maybe with the right top for you larger chested women, remember going without a bra or any sort of protection of your girls is an option. You don’t have to wear a bra! Do what makes you feel comfortable and allows you to wear what you want to wear. Of course, with some shirts you’d be cutting it close to a Janet Jackson style nip-slip, if you didn’t rock a bra, or at least one of the two options above, but in some cases you don’t need to worry about how to protect the girls! Remember that.

Sticky silicone gel.

Make yourself decent by using stick-on silicone gel petals. If you have a small bust, you might be able to get away without wearing any support. You should still smooth out the curve of your breast to prevent anything from showing through thin fabric, however. Accomplish this by sticking specialized gel petals over your nipples.

Consider a halter bra.

Some backless dresses go around the neck and only expose a small portion of your back. For these dresses, you may be able to hide a halter style bra beneath your dress. This is another supportive option for well-endowed women. And not wearing a bra is not a good option as the shape doesn’t seem right and you won’t feel comfortable either. In case the dress has a padded bra stitched in with it, then you don’t need to wear one.

Practice proper posture.

Hold your head high, your shoulders back, and your chest out. Straight posture will make your back look its best, but a bent, hunched over back looks significantly less attractive. A slouched back is very unimpressive and especially when you are wearing a backless dress, make sure your posture is correct. The dress looks best when you stand in the right posture cause that ll make you feel and look better too. Otherwise instead of the sexy look that we intend on achieving, the slouched back will spoil it.

Pin up your hair.

You may have long, luxurious locks, but if they cover your entire back, there is not much point in wearing a backless dress. Wear your hair up for the evening to fully show off your back (kudos to those people who have short hair like I do). Wearing your hair like mine is the best way to wear a backless. To be always kept in mind otherwise the essence of it is kind of lost under your hair.

Wearing backless tops the right way, will make men walk behind you (Trust me, on this ladies!).

This breezy, laid-back look is an allure piece that for sure will make you look original and trendy. If you are looking at backless fashion, then I highly recommend to start from tops. The most important rule of all open-backs is not going all-out-bare-it-all.

And another, most important thing is the effortless fit that allows you to wear them with boyfriends, skinnies and pair them with boyish slip-ons and cool sneakers, but anything will work just right with these simple silhouettes.

You may pair them with long skirts for formal attire like what I did here. This hot red top with bow-tie on its back looks creative when paired with a maxi-slit black skirt

If you want to show your beautiful back, then go for this awesome dark blue version that can be styled with awesome skinnies for a casual daytime look

Keep it summery casual with lace-up black top and black short cut-offs
